Miranda Baner

Often described as the better half of Baner and Baner Law Firm, Miranda was born and raised in Taiwan.  She moved to the United States with her family and began attending college at Missouri State in Springfield, MO.  She graduated with honors obtaining a bachelor’s degree in marketing.  She next went to Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan where she graduated with honors.  While in law school she married her husband and law partner, Jonathan Baner.

 

Miranda is a modern renaissance woman.  She is trilingual.  She fluently speaks Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese and English.  She has an incredible talent for music.  She plays the piano and is a competitive singer.  She also designs wedding stationary that has been featured on Four Weddings (a TLC television show). 

 

Miranda focuses her practice primarily on family law and family-based immigration.  She excels in representing clients in contentious custody disputes.  Miranda represents clients in divorce/legal separation proceedings, parenting plan cases, third-party custody petitions, adoption cases, and relocation matters by working to resolve the issues where possible and taking to trial those issues that cannot be resolved without trial.  Miranda also works with immigrants and businesses to ensure that immigrants are able to live and work in the United States. 

 

Miranda and Jonathan run their litigation-driven law firm, Baner & Baner Law Firm PLLC together in University Place.  They enjoy practicing law and working together. 

 

Outside their law practice, Miranda and Jonathan are busy parents with their children and a dog named after a Star Trek character, one of their all-time favorite TV series and movies.
